Magna Carta – an update

Hopefully some of you will remember that last year Christine Tebbitt, one of our members, was chosen to take part in the Magna Carta project, working with artist Cornelia Parker to produce a 13 metre long copy of the Wikipedia Magna Carta page.

The finished embroidery was unveiled this week at the British Museum and will be on display in the entrance hall from now until 24th July.

The links below contain more details about the project. Chris features on the video clip, on the first link, in person (and the hands with the pink nails belong to her too!!)

This link is to an interesting article which appeared in TheGuardian about the project.

Many Congratulations Chris!

Here’s Chris with her individual piece, followed by a selection of photographs taken at the launch event.
