In September we took two groups to Worthing Museum for a behind the scenes look at the Costume Collection. It was an absolute privilege. There are over 30,000 items in the collection (the exact number is difficult to ascertain as sometimes a complete outfit was counted as one item in the catalogue!). Just standing in the archive room reading the labels on the boxes was exciting, the Museum has an incredible costume collection and we were shown many treasures by the curator, Gerry Connelly. Here are some of the photographs taken during the two visits just to give you an idea of what we saw.
